The route includes a visit to the<em><strong> Fort San Carlo<\/strong><\/em>, the <strong><em>Scala Reale<\/em><\/strong> <em>(Royal Staircase)<\/em> with its 3000 steps placed on the roof of the famous <em><strong>Scala Coperta<\/strong><\/em> <em>(Covered Staircase)<\/em>, the redoubts of <strong><em>Santa Barbara, Porte and Ospedale<\/em><\/strong> and the most characteristic corners of the <em>Covered Staircase<\/em> with its 4000 steps. Climb up to an altitude of 1800 m where the fortress ends, in order to visit the <em><strong>Forte Valli<\/strong><\/em>. It also includes a visit to the <strong><em>Fort San Carlo<\/em><\/strong>, with its palaces  and underground, running along a beautiful section of the <strong><em>Scala Coperta<\/em><\/strong> with its 4000 steps to visit the casemates, redoubts and highlights of the fortress.
